You have a lot of transportation options for the Friendly Confines, and choosing the best way to get to Wrigley Field depends on both your budget and starting point (and mood, too). But with all due respect to my friends at CubParking, using the Chicago Transit Authority is the easiest way to get to the Friendly Confines, especially for first. Best nearby camping: Casino Queen RV Park. With views of the Gateway Arch, a casino on-site, and easy access to Busch Stadium across the Mississippi River, Casino Queen RV Park is the best place to camp after a Cardinals game. The RV park has pull-through sites, full hookups (including Internet and cable TV), a bath house, and laundry facilities. Definitely Horseshoe in Hammond is the closest plus you don't have to go back through city traffic, from the U of C campus you can catch the Skyway from Stoney Island ($3.50 toll on the bridge unfortunately) or follow Lake Shore Drive to 41 although that route is a bit complicated to follow and while I've never had a problem driving it, it does go through some rougher neighborhoods.
Phoenix casinos offer visitors the chance to tempt Lady Luck while in town, and since there are a handful of good ones to choose from, gaming enthusiasts will feel right at home in the Arizona capital. In addition to slot machines and table games, the casinos in Phoenix have poker rooms, and you can also expect to find a big Bingo room at most. For those who want to stay close to the action, there are a few casino hotels in the area that provide easy access to their slots and tables, and they can make excellent travel bases.
When it comes to the best casinos in Phoenix, the Gila River Indian Community is responsible for offering some of the top establishments in the area. These establishments include the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, the Vee Quiva Casino, and the Lone Butte Casino. Adding to the choices are a few other non-Gila River casinos that can also satisfy the need for some gaming fun, and they include the Casino Arizona at the ritzy Talking Stick Resort in nearby Scottsdale.
If you are visiting Phoenix and you want to stay at a casino hotel, the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino should not be overlooked. Found on the Gila River Indian Reservation, the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino offers a unique lodging experience for Phoenix area visitors to enjoy. In addition to an interesting location, this ten-story building on the Gila River skyline offers a Vegas-like casino experience in Phoenix. Its casino is complemented by live entertainment venues, six restaurants, a 24-hour café, a handful of bars, and a nightclub featuring a great dance floor. As is typical of the Phoenix Arizona casinos in general, the Wild Horse Pass Casino offers slots, table games, and poker tables.

When guests at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino aren't enjoying the casino and the other facilities, they can retire to their comfortable rooms or suite to relax. Both the rooms and suites at this casino hotel offer a considerable amount of comfort, and standard in-room amenities include a flat-screen TV, a safe to store your winnings in, a coffee maker to help you greet the new day, and free Internet access to keep you connected.
Other Gila River casinos include the Vee Quiva and the Lone Butte. Also known as the West Valley Casino, the Vee Quiva Casino is just fifteen miles south of Downtown Phoenix, and visitors can enjoy gaming action around the clock. There are more than 800 slot machines at Vee Quiva, as well as a 500-seat Bingo Parlor. Also popular are the blackjack and poker rooms. When a break from the gaming action is in order at Vee Quiva, there is a deli restaurant onsite, and the 36-hole Whirlwind Golf Club isn't far away. Other facilities that only add to the casino hotel's allure are an excellent golf course and an attractive outdoor pool and patio area.
For Phoenix area visitors who are based in Scottsdale or Mesa, one of the most convenient Phoenix gambling spots is the Fort McDowell Casino. This casino offers 150,000 square feet of gaming space, making it one of the largest Phoenix Arizona casinos, and right next door is a 4-star hotel with a spa to go with its 246 comfortable rooms and suites.

At the Casino Arizona, the Talking Stick Resort gets a lot of attention. This luxurious resort has served to make Casino Arizona a true contender for the top spot on the list of best Phoenix Arizona casino. The Casino Arizona is especially convenient to Scottsdale, Mesa, and Tempe. Phoenix proper is hardly far off either for those who might be staying at one of the Downtown hotels. As for the gaming opportunities that can be enjoyed at the Casino Arizona, there are more than 1,500 slots, some of which are high limit, 46 poker tables, lively Keno, and plenty of live blackjack to indulge in. Essentially found in south Scottsdale, the Casino Arizona and the slick Talking Stick Resort are convenient to all the great Phoenix area attractions, including Taliesin West and Papago Park.
These are the best casinos in Phoenix, and they are open around the clock. Having the option of enjoying some gaming action 24-hours a day is just part of the reason why Phoenix vacations are so popular, and there will be no shortage of other fun things to do when you're not gaming. As for Phoenix visitors who truly enjoy gambling, it is worth noting that the Arizona capital is less than 400 miles from Las Vegas and the many Vegas casinos. The drive to Sin City from Phoenix only takes five or six hours, depending on the driver and the road conditions, while the flight is only an hour. In other words, it is relatively easy to combine Phoenix and Las Vegas on an escape to the Southwest.

#1) The Red Line. Ah, the Red Line. It may be packed to standing room level with Cubs fans and occasionally smell of urine, but you can’t beat the convenience…elevated trains stop at the Addison station, just steps away from Wrigley. The Red Line runs all night; coming from downtown Chicago it works quite well, and from a suburb like Skokie you can transfer from the Yellow Line.
The Sheridan and Belmont stations are also close enough to walk to Wrigley if you’d like to get off a stop early or better your chances of finding a seat on the train after the game.

#2) The Brown Line. If you don’t mind a short walk (Google Maps clocks it at 15 minutes), the Brown Line is a quieter, less crowded alternative to the Red. The Southport and Belmont stations are less than a mile walk from Wrigley, you’ll probably have a seat and a smoother ride, and you can pass by some decent takeout places along the walk, like D’Agostino’s. The Brown doesn’t run all night though, so check the schedule.
Not the same Addison station where Wrigley is. Don’t walk it from here.
#3) The Blue Line/#152 Bus. Coming from O’Hare and the Des Plaines area, you can use the Blue Line to Addison Station (different from the Red Line Addison Station), and then use the #152 Wrigley Express bus to get to the ballpark.
Easy peezy, although I do suggest using the Irving Park Station and the #80 bus for a faster ride. That one involves some walking on Clark Street, however.
The Blue Line option is great for visitors staying near the airport to save on hotel parking, as I often do.
There you go, three simple public transit choices, still the best way to get to Wrigley Field for most people. But there are some cheaper and easier options too, and CubParking is a great choice for booking your parking if you decide to drive.
